The Pizzuti Companies will build a new 253,664-square-foot industrial facility on a 13.1-acre site in the CreekSide Industrial Center in Obetz, Ohio.

CME Wire and Cable has signed a lease to occupy 84,616 square feet in the new CreekSide XI building. The new lease represents an expansion for the electrical wire distributor, which currently occupies 48,000 square feet in the Pizzuti-developed CreekSide X building.

“The start of construction on the new CreekSide building is an indication that the industrial market in Central Ohio is continuing to rebound,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Companies, in a written statement. “CME Wire and Cable has been a long-time tenant at CreekSide and we look forward to being a part of their continued growth.”

CreekSide XI is a Class-A industrial building designed for tenants with space needs of 50,000 to 100,000 square feet. The facility features a clear height of 30 feet, 25 docks and four drive-in doors.

The facility, jointly owned by USAA Realco (a subsidiary of the financial services company USAA) and Pizzuti, is being built by Pizzuti Construction Services with completion expected in early 2014. Pizzuti will provide management services for the new building.

Phil Rasey, Pizzuti’s manager of sales and leasing, represented Pizzuti in the CME Wire and Cable transaction. CME Wire and Cable was represented by Bucky Winfield of CRESA Partners in Atlanta.
