Cory E. Ramey has been tapped by john greene Commercial to lead the firm’s industrial division. Ramey, who has spent the past 15 years brokering the sale or leasing of more than $210,000,000 of industrial space while with Darwin Realty, will now bring his expertise in Chicago’s western suburbs to elevate john greene Commercial’s industrial business. For nearly four decades, john greene Commercial has been a leading commercial brokerage firm specializing in west and southwest suburban Chicago, and has sold more than 10,400 acres of land. The news of Ramey’s move will be of great interest to readers of Chicago Industrial Properties, as it signals changes ahead for the industrial market.

The timing of his move is critical, as he sees a lot of growth in the industrial sector coming to Chicago. Ramey said, “I’ve seen a lot of changes in the I-88 and I-55 corridors over the past decade, and I believe the market is poised for a major resurgence in leasing and development activity. And because the john greene name is synonymous with west suburban real estate, it’s exciting for me to have an opportunity to leverage the firm’s vast experience and resources for the benefit of our clients, and for the industry overall.”

Ramey, 37, specializes in owner representation, tenant representation, build-to-suits, sale-leaseback transactions, and investment acquisitions and dispositions. He will lead the firm’s efforts in the manufacturing, warehouse and distribution sectors throughout the west and southwest suburbs.

“Cory’s experience in the industrial sector is a perfect complement to our team who, combined, bring the greatest depth of market intelligence and creative thinking available in the industry,” said Tim Greene, CEO of john greene Commercial. “Having Cory lead our industrial division is a natural extension of his strengths and expertise, as well as an opportunity for us to grow that part of our business.”
