Cushman & Wakefield closed an 85,000-square-foot lease for Edge Autonomy Energy Systems at 5775 Interface Drive in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in an expansion of its manufacturing operations.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Kyle Passage and Craig Herschel in Detroit and Steve Langton in New York represented Edge Autonomy in the transaction, while Matt Buslepp of Avison Young represented ownership, Mansour Cos.
A leading global producer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) and ruggedized power solutions, Edge Autonomy Energy Systems and its legacy companies have operated in Ann Arbor for 20 years. Over the past two years, demand for its solid oxide fuel cells has led to significant investment in its manufacturing capacity and a projected personnel growth of 200% through 2024. Additionally, the firm is adding lithium-ion battery pack design and assembly capabilities to its Ann Arbor-based team.
The facility on Interface Drive was originally a high-bay office building and will be converted to meet Edge Autonomy’s requirements.
