Fischer has opened an office in Chicago after acquiring Champion Realty Advisors LLC. Fischer’s new office is located at 800 W. 79th St. in Willowbrook.
Led by Fischer Executive Vice President J.D. Salazar, the Chicago team will focus on providing tenant representation and consulting for any client’s commercial real estate needs such as industrial or office space, sale-leasebacks and build-to-suits.
Salazar has more than 27 years of experience working in commercial real estate and related fields. Salazar founded Champion Realty Advisors in 1997.
Throughout his career, Salazar has represented clients such as Kellogg’s, ProLogis, the Gillette Company and Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. Salazar has also been honored by Chicago United as one of Chicago’s Business Leaders of Color, and he received Illinois Real Estate Journal’s Award for Excellence in Real Estate in addition to the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Industrial Broker of the Year Award.

An active Society of Industrial & Office Realtors member since 1995, Salazar is also a member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers, the Warehousing Education and Research Council and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. In addition to his memberships, Salazar is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas, and he is a licensed real estate professional in Illinois, North Carolina, Indiana, Wisconsin, Georgia and New Mexico.
Salazar earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of New Mexico and his master’s degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University.
Fischer’s headquarters is located in Dallas and additional offices are located in Los Angeles, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Portland.
