HSA PrimeCare will develop a 15,000-square-foot multi-specialty surgery center at 240 Center Drive in Vernon Hills. The proposed $10 million ambulatory surgery treatment center is fully leased to Hawthorn Surgical Associates, a subsidiary of Birmingham, Ala.-based Surgical Care Affiliates LLC, which is relocating its practice from an outdated facility in nearby north suburban Libertyville.

HSA is planning to break ground on March 1 on the proposed outpatient surgery center, which will feature three surgical suites, one procedure room and 14 recovery stations.

“We’re very pleased to be working with Hawthorn Surgical Associates on the development of their new facility and in helping them to deliver on their goal of providing their patients with access to state-of-the-art surgical care,” said John Wilson, president of HSA PrimeCare.
