Irgens has broken ground on Mokena Medical Commons, a single-story, 32,300-square-foot, multi-tenant facility anchored by Women’s Healthcare of Illinois, an OB/GYN practice that will occupy 15,000 square feet in the project.
There will be 17,300 square feet available for a complimentary medical office user in the state-of-the-art facility.
“Mokena Medical Commons will bring high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to women of all ages in greater Chicagoland,” said Kenneth Finkelstein, president of Women’s Healthcare of Illinois. “We are pleased to work with Irgens to oversee this important project for the region and believe it is a tremendous, targeted opportunity for growth for progressive healthcare practitioners in the area.”
Located just west of U.S. Route 45 and 1.5 miles from the I-80/LaGrange Road interchange, Mokena Medical Commons offers close proximity to outstanding population demographics and easy access for patients and visitors. The single-story building will feature a flexible floor plan to accommodate tenants of all sizes.
Mokena Medical Commons will open in September 2014. Project team members include Emerald Isle Investment Partners LLC, Kahler Slater Architects, Morgan Harbor Construction and Marine Bank.
Women’s Healthcare of Illinois is led by Finkelstein. The group provides comprehensive woman-focused healthcare services, including general obstetrics and gynecology, urogynecology, high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and daVinci robotic surgery.
