Lockwood Companies opened its newest community, Lockwood of Hartland, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Aug 6. The new senior living community, located at 12371 Highland Road in Hartland, Michigan, provides additional housing options for area seniors.
Built at a cost of $46 million, Lockwood of Hartland offers 146 one- and two-bedroom independent living senior apartments, all with private patios or balconies, with 61 designated as affordable housing. The community is designed to provide high-quality, accessible living for seniors in the area, addressing the growing need for senior housing as the population continues to age.
Situated on 17 wooded acres complete with nature trails, the community features a wide range of amenities that cater to the needs and interests of its residents. These include offering chef prepared meals daily or the convenience of quick meals at the Grab and Go Café, a fitness room, life enrichment programs, barber shop and beauty salon, and theatre. Lockwood of Hartland is also a pet friendly community.
Lockwood of Hartland will generate full- and part-time jobs, further enhancing its positive impact on the local economy. The community’s opening is a significant milestone for Lockwood Companies, which continues to expand its presence in Michigan and beyond.
