McShane Construction Co. has been selected by Wanxiang America Real Estate Group LLC to provide comprehensive building renovations to the Bannockburn Executive Plaza, a three-story, 130,000-square-foot office building located at 2275 Half Day Road in Bannockburn.
Situated at the full four-way interchange of the Tri-State Tollway and Half Day Road, the office facility provides a prominent location within Chicago’s north suburban market.
Originally constructed in 1978, McShane Construction will provide extensive exterior updating to the facility including the modernization of the façade and entrance canopy together with new lighting, landscaping and signage, sidewalks and driveways. The assignment also includes more than 10,000 square feet of interior renovations, encompassing the update of the multi-story atrium, nine restrooms, the Leaf Café and common corridors.
To create a visual focal point in the large atrium, a three-story staircase will wrap around a new elevator with glass and decorative Carrera marble cladding. A 150-square-foot water feature will also be constructed to complement the new features in the entry space. The building’s three wings, which are accessed through the atrium, will undergo an upscale refresh to the floors, walls and ceilings. Additional interior renovations will include new equipment and updates to the customer area in the building’s gourmet restaurant, The Leaf Café.
Wright Heerema Architects is providing the architectural services for the office building renovation that is slated for completion in November 2013.
J.F. McKinney & Associates is serving as the exclusive leasing agents for the property with building suites up to 75,000 square feet currently available for lease.
