Principle Construction is constructing a second new building for returning client Alvil Trucking. The 22,245-square-foot, 24-foot clear height warehouse at 2450 Millennium Drive in Elgin, Illinois, will be used for the maintenance and repairs of the trucking company’s fleet.
The new warehouse is being built on a 4.87-acre site with 48 parking spaces. Six docks and two drive-in doors will get trucks in and out of the facility. The building will be heated by one roof-mounted make-up air unit with thermostatic control and will have 400-amp electrical power. All areas will have an NFPA 13 sprinkler system. The Principle team will also install a single-ply, 45 mil, ballasted EPDM roof.
Principle’s John Cahill is serving as project manager while Matt Frane is the onsite superintendent. Harris Architects is serving as project architect. Jacob & Hefner is the civil engineer on the project.
