Principle Construction Corp. has promoted five employees to management and senior management positions. Those promoted include James W. Molzahn to vice president of finance, Mark Frane to director of field operations, Darrin Dehmlow to director, Matt Cotherman to senior project manager, and Jon Anderson to project manager.

The five leaders have each worked at Principle—a full-service design-build general contractor based in Rosemont, Illinois, for at least three years and collectively, they have worked at the firm for more than 40 years.

“We are proud to recognize each of these gentlemen for their commitment to excellence and to the firm over their years in service,” said chief operating officer, Mark Augustyn. “We look forward to many more years of growth with these five as leaders in our business.”

Molzahn, who has worked at Principle since 2008, has developed a proprietary system to manage and project corporate finances. He ensures employee benefit and insurance programs are well-managed and that government reporting is accurate. He interfaces with banks, title companies, clients and municipalities to ensure they have everything they need to help Principle do its job without interruption.

Frane joined Principle in May of 2001 and was promoted to senior superintendent in May of 2005. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1981-1988 where he reached the rank of Sergeant. At Principle, Frane is responsible for managing project field operations and overseeing the day-to-day operations of individual job sites. He oversees subcontractor activities, safety practices and material and equipment management.

Dehmlow, who has more than 25 years of project management experience, joined Principle in 2005. He has worked on many multi-million-dollar projects including commercial/industrial, hotel, religious buildings, retail, public works buildings and school improvements. He is responsible for reviewing proposals and awarding contracts, producing construction schedules, preparing and coordinating subcontractors and coordinating for review and submittal with the established specifications.

Cotherman has worked on many projects with Principle since joining the firm in 2017. He has managed projects including several General RV building expansion projects, a 63,578-square-foot office and manufacturing facility in Elmhurst, a 39,700-square-foot tenant improvement in Buffalo Grove and a 16,500-square-foot office expansion in Woodridge.

Anderson has worked for Principle since graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2017. He interned at the firm while earning his bachelor’s degree and has also worked at the village of Schaumburg engineering and public works department.
