REDICO announces new VP of development in its Southfield, Michigan office

REDICO has announced that Kent Heckaman has joined the organization as vice president of development.

In this role, Heckaman is responsible for sourcing new development opportunities and the financial performance of commercial development projects, as well as managing the development, planning, design and construction process for new and existing properties.

Prior to joining REDICO, Heckaman served as the development partner/entitlement director at MGL Partners in Washington, D.C. There, he was responsible for overseeing the development of luxury urban multifamily, mixed-use and senior projects. He has also held leadership roles at First Centrum in Virginia, The Sterling Group in Indiana and WM Grace Development Co. in Arizona.

Heckaman’s undergraduate studies at Arizona State University focused on urban planning, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in real estate from Georgetown University.

Heckaman earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) certification in 2002. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington and an associate member of the National Apartment Association.
