REjournals is busy assembling speakers, panels and sponsors for the 17th Annual Commercial Real Estate Forecast Conference being held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
Working with the hot topics and trends currently being experienced in the commercial real estate industry, the conference organizers are assembling a celebrated roster of speakers and planning sessions that will be most meaningful for today’s commercial real estate industry.
One of the first to be secured for the event was Fritz Kaegi, who earlier this week was sworn in as the new Cook County Assessor. Kaegi, who has promised to shake things up at the Assessors office, will be interviewed by Kent Swanson—an executive with Riverside Investment Development and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Civic Federation—in a 20-25-minute, one-on-one session.
Additionally, in response to the unparalleled level of activity taking place along the banks of the Chicago River, from Chinatown to the split to the North Branch to the mouth of Lake Michigan, the organizers are promoting a panel, “The River Runs Through It.” Headlining that panel will be Vicki Noonan, Cushman & Wakefield; Alan Lev, Belgravia; Anna Simpson, Sterling Bay; Murray McQueen, Tribune Real Estate Services and Tony Scacco, Riverside Investment.
One of the perennial favorites of the Forecast event is the State of The Market panel, adeptly moderated for the last five years by Danny Nikitas, Avison Young. Confirmed speakers on that panel include Rand Diamond, GlenStar; Jeff Berta, Structured Development; Molly McShane, The McShane Companies; Jim Pape, TCF Commercial Bank and Dave Burden, Colliers International.

As is customary, the event begins at 7 am with registration, continental breakfast and the ability to network with an expected 850-plus real estate professionals and as many as 75 sponsors. The Forecast conference concludes with concurrent breakout sessions covering the office, industrial, retail, investment, multifamily and property management sectors.
