Krusinski Construction Company will begin work this month on RidgePort Logistics Center, a 20 million square-foot rail-served park located on more than 1400 acres in Wilmington, Ill at Lorenzo Road. The property is developed by Ridge Property Trust of Chicago, Ill.
This first phase of site preparation and infrastructure improvements will pave the way for future construction of buildings and facilities.
The first phase of work calls for mass grading, site utility and roadway work to serve the future water tower location as well as grading and site utility work required to complete the lead track and switch for the BNSF rail spur. Future phases of work will include more than a mile-long realignment and reconstruction of Lorenzo Road as well as a new traffic controlled intersection and construction of new business park roads called Grasskamp and Design Road. The intersection and roads will be improved with vegetated islands, street lights, trees, shrubs and a monument sign.
