Beloit, Wis., received some good news this month: AccuLynx will move its software-development company to the Ironworks Campus in the city’s downtown.

AcuLynx will lease 12,000 square feet of newly remodeled office space. The company is taking an option for an additional 9,000 square feet. With 30 existing employees, AccuLynx is positioned to more than double its staffing levels during the next three years.

“Acculynx choose Beloit – and the Ironworks Campus in particular – because the vibe is the perfect fit for our fun, funky culture, said Richard Spanton Jr., president and chief executive officer of AccuLynx, in a written statement. “We are excited about our new space and look forward to serving as a catalyst for other technology companies.”

AccuLynx creates cloud-based business management software for specialty trade contractors.

“We are extremely pleased that AccuLynx selected Ironworks for its new headquarters, as the company will bolster Beloit’s emerging IT cluster,” said Mark Membrino, vice president of Hendricks Commercial Properties, owner of the Ironworks Campus.

Formerly known as the Beloit Corporation site, which closed in 1999, Diane and the late Ken Hendricks purchased this vacant property and renamed it the Ironworks Campus. The Campus is now home to more than 12 companies – representing a diverse range of office, manufacturing and technology tenants – that lease more than 400,000 square feet. The property is owned, managed and developed by Hendricks Commercial Properties LLC.

For the AccuLynx project,  design services were provided by Excel Engineering and construction services were performed by Corporate Contractors, Inc.

Support for this corporate headquarters relocation project was provided by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.

James Otterstein, Rock County economic development manager, said, in a written statement, “This is an exciting project and another addition to the concentration of technology firms that are investing in the Janesville-Beloit MSA.“
