The DeLong Company, an exporter of containerized grain, recently closed on the purchase of an 8.7-acre site at Logistics Park Kansas City.
The site sits adjacent to the entrance to BNSF Railway’s new $250 million Kansas City Intermodal Facility, which is currently under construction.
The opening of DeLong’s new facility will coincide with the completion of BNSF’s new intermodal facility in 2013.
Gardner, Kan.-based The Allen Group — Kansas City assisted DeLong with the transaction. It is the first transaction that The Allen Group has completed at Logistics Park Kansas City.
