The Habitat Company has been awarded the property management contract for 1000 South Clark, a new 469-unit luxury apartment tower in Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood. The building, which broke ground in the summer of 2014, is slated for delivery in early 2016.
Designed with the latest recreational and social amenities, 1000 South Clark offers more than 43,000 square feet of amenity space including a 20,000 square foot outdoor terrace with grilling stations, an enclosed indoor pool and rooftop running track, a 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center, basketball and racquetball courts, virtual golf simulator and putting area. The community also features six separate lounge areas, including a penthouse roof deck, library lounge and wine bar, Chef’s demonstration kitchen, game room and billiards lounge; neighborhood bar room with customizable beer taps, news room and media lounge, board room and business center, automated package retrieval system, and on-site valet dry cleaning. A four-story garage attached to the west facade of the tower will provide parking for 327 vehicles.
The community will also offer residents the latest in pet amenities with a landscaped outdoor dog park, and provide full-service pet care and a boarding facility through its partnership with Bark on Clark ™.
The 29-story apartment tower will offer studio, one, two, and three-bedroom residences, with individual units ranging from 505 to 2,112 square feet. Additionally, the community will also feature six three-bedroom rental townhomes measuring 3,173 square feet which will include a two car garage. Select townhome floor plans will also offer four bathrooms. The Habitat Company will oversee leasing, with pre-leasing slated to begin in October 2015.
1000 South Clark, designed by Hartshorne & Plunkard, is a joint venture between JDL Development, LLC and New York-based iStar.
