Newmark Knight Frank Epic represented The Pillow Factory in its lease of 64,685 square feet of space within a 121,096-square-foot industrial facility at 900 Busch Parkway in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove. The financial terms of the 11-year lease transaction were not disclosed.
The Pillow Factory leased the space, consolidating its operations from three locations to two, and completing an overall expansion in the metro area from approximately 60,000 square feet to more than 95,000 square feet. The company is relocating to this location from space it had occupied in Mundelein.
For more than 20 years, the company has been producing feather and down pillows along with down alternative pillows. A division of Encompass Group, The Pillow Factory is a provider of sleep-care products to the healthcare and hospitality industries offering pillows that are hypoallergenic, including production of pillows that are dust and odor free.
The building at 900 Busch Parkway was built in 1985 with more space added in 1999. It is situated on 8.8 acres and features two levels of office space totaling 13,410 square feet, 21-foot to 26-foot clear ceilings, 3,618 square feet of mezzanine storage, five interior docks, two drive-in doors, heavy power and parking for 241 cars.
Earlier this year Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the company in the completion of a lease renewal for 30,432 square feet of space at 2600-2620 Commerce in Libertyville.
