Urban Innovations is pleased to announce that they have recently completed a retail buildout for BAGGU at 1639 N. Damen Ave. in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood.
The Urban Innovations team gutted the space and installed a new storage room, restroom, and back-of-house office for BAGGU staff. The main store has new millwork shelving, a custom-built check out desk, penny tile flooring, track lighting, and merchandise paneling to display bags and other items for sale. Principle also created new exterior signage for BAGGU. The store opened to a line of about 450 shoppers on October 25.
Urban Innovations began the project in July and completed it in august. Urban Innovations’ Ramiro Trevino was principal on the project and Jason Zeman served as project manager. Tommy Haddock of Haddock Studio designed the space for the tenant. Jenel Real Estate owns the building. BAGGU has gained popularity on the internet for its unique reusable bags.
