Whitney Architects has named Kate Logan as design director, a role that will see her lead the firm’s overall vision for design. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois with a design studio in Chicago, Whitney Architects is a national architecture and design firm that specializes in commercial and workplace interiors, both design and technical, from programming through construction administration.
“Kate is an experienced interior design and architecture professional who has made significant contributions to our clients, our internal teams and our network during her tenure at Whitney,” said Mark Stenftenagel, CEO of Whitney Architects. “We look forward to her continued leadership, supporting our vision for work that pushes the boundaries beyond trends, driving innovation and impact of interior architecture and workplace design.”
Logan has held a series of creative and leadership positions since joining Whitney Architects in 2007, most recently senior project manager. In the last decade, she was lead designer for many notable and award-winning projects, including the Cushman & Wakefield global headquarters, which was awarded WELL Certification.
She co-led the design of Catamaran Corporation’s (formerly SXC Health Solutions) 300,000-square-foot headquarters which included the integration of cutting-edge technology and a full spectrum of campus amenities into the space. Other client work at Whitney Architects includes Polsinelli, Sonoco, Sikich, and Crowe LLP.
Logan is an NCIDQ and LEED Accredited Professional. She holds a B.S. in interior design from Indiana University.
