Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Farbman Group added four new team members across its family of organizations.
Supporting operations across multiple markets, the firm’s growth includes new team member additions in Michigan, Ohio and Alabama, further strengthening its capabilities in engineering, property management and regional leadership.
Andrew Fernandez joins Farbman Group as general manager of Fifth Third Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Fernandez brings more than 10 years of experience managing complex commercial assets, with a strong track record of driving net operating income growth and operational efficiency. He most recently managed large-scale hospitality, retail and parking operations while optimizing financial performance and vendor strategy. Fernandez holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from John Carroll University, is a Certified Property Manager (CMP) and is a licensed real estate professional in Ohio.
Kawehi Kamakea joins Farbman Group as regional manager overseeing Alabama properties, including the Park at Buckingham and The Park at Callington/Carlyle in Birmingham. Kamakea brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in affordable housing and property management, overseeing large multi-state portfolios. She has a strong track record of driving net operating income growth, improving occupancy and stabilizing complex portfolios. Her experience includes managing more than 3,500 units, leading capital improvement projects and executing acquisitions and due diligence efforts. Kamakea holds a Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certifications and brings deep expertise in compliance, budgeting and portfolio oversight.
Terrell Chestnut joins Apex Mechanical Solutions, Farbman Group’s resident heating and cooling organization, as an HVAC technician. Chestnut brings over 12 years of maintenance experience across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and facility systems. He most recently served as a maintenance engineer and has a strong background in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. He completed training at Northwestern Tech, holds an associate degree from Owens Community College and is EPA Environmental Protection Agency 608 certified.
Carl Richardson Jr. also joins Apex Mechanical Solutions as an HVAC technician. Richardson brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial HVAC installations, repair and service. He has extensive expertise working with furnaces, boilers and full HVAC systems, along with a strong background in diagnostic, preventive maintenance and code-compliant installations. Richardson also holds an EPA Universal Certification.
