The Opus Group has completed The Marke of Elmhurst, a luxury mixed-use development in Elmhurst, Illinois, a western Chicago suburb. The six-story, 164-unit development includes one-, two- and three-bedroom units, upscale amenities and 7,600 square feet of Class A retail space that is available in a burgeoning area of redevelopment.
“We are thrilled to welcome residents to The Marke of Elmhurst in the heart of downtown,” said Mike Yungerman, vice president and general manager at Opus. “It’s been great to work with the city of Elmhurst to advance its downtown plan and offer residents an upscale multifamily option in a desirable suburban location.”
Located at 100 N. Addison Avenue near the train station, The Marke of Elmhurst provides an easy commute to downtown Chicago and offers convenient access to a vibrant area with various retail and restaurant options. Previously an underutilized commercial site, the building now offers a mix of residential units complete with luxury finishes and appliances. Available amenities include covered parking, a fitness center, yoga room, pet spa and covered dog-walking area. The club room provides access to an outdoor amenity deck with a pool, cabanas and grilling area.
Opus is the developer, design-builder and the architect and structural engineer of record. Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture is the design architect and ESG Architects is the interior designer. The project was a joint venture with Principal Real Estate Investors. The property is managed by Greystar Property Management. In support of the community, the Opus Foundation awarded grants to the Elmhurst Art Museum and the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation.
