Brian Hurtuk Managing director Colliers International Cleveland
Brian Hurtuk, during a commercial real estate career that has lasted for more than three decades, has consistently ranked as one of the top office specialists in the Cleveland area. He’s helped build the Colliers International brand throughout the state of Ohio and the Midwest.
He’s also found time to volunteer for a wide variety of industry groups and charitable organizations.
This is why none of Hurtuk’s peers are surprised that the managing director for Colliers International’s Cleveland office has become a member of the 2012 Hall of Fame class.
“Brian provides the leadership and guidance necessary to elevate the Colliers International brand to a wide variety of commercial real estate users,” wrote one nominator.
Few understand the local office market better than Hurtuk. For more than 30 years, he’s closed a steady stream of office sales and leases. While doing so, he’s built a loyal client list. Many of Hurtuk’s clients have worked with him for more than a decade.
Why? They trust him. They know that he works long hours to provide them with the best representation. They appreciate his negotiating skills, and they rely on his market knowledge to help them close the best deals possible.
Hurtuk has nabbed several important industry awards during his career. He won the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties’ Investment Deal of the Year for 2012, and has been named a CoStar Power Broker from 2003 to 2011.
Building such a strong career hasn’t stopped Hurtuk from giving back to his community and his industry. He has served on the NAIOP board of trustees from 1989 to the present. He also served as a Rocky River councilman at large from 2001 to 2007.
Hutuk also finds time to sit on the board of trustees for the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Friends of the Cleveland School of the Arts. He is a member, too, of the advancement committee for Magnificat High School and is past president and former board of trustees member for the school’s father’s club.
