For more than 20 years, Angela Roseboro has provided advice and guidance to some of the biggest names in business, Fortune 500 companies such as Genworth Financial, Whirlpool Corporation, Manpower International and Rockwell Automation.
Now she’s doing the same to one of the country’s busiest commercial real estate firms, Jones Lang LaSalle.
Roseboro is executive vice president and chief diversity officer in the company’s Chicago office. Her goal? To recruit and retain diverse talent at Jones Lang LaSalle. She also focuses on guaranteeing that Jones Lang LaSalle relies on a supplier base that is also diverse.
By all measures, Roseboro has succeeded wildly during her time at Jones Lang LaSalle. Her innovative approach to inclusion and diversity efforts have earned her several internal and external honors from such organizations as Diversityinc, Diversity Best Practices, Black Enterprise, Human Rights Campaign and Diversity MBA.
As one nominator wrote, “Ms. Roseboro’s passion and knowledge gives her the ability to change the corporate perception of diversity and inclusion from being the right thing to do to being a strategic enabler of business success.”
During her career, Roseboro has earned a reputation as one of the most important names in the fields of diversity and inclusion. She has served as a featured columnist for the trade publication Diversity Journal and has been named one of the Top Executives in Diversity. She is a member of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and has also served as an adjunct professor at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
Roseboro has also been active in her community. She voluntarily developed workshops to help Chicago’s low-income residents prepare for job opportunities as part of the banking industry’s Community Reinvestment Act. She also speaks at inner-city high schools, where she uses her own experiences to provide students with candid insights.
