Liberty Property Trust has broken ground on a 429,541 square foot industrial building located at 300 Mitchell Road in Liberty Business Center North Aurora. This project is being developed by a joint venture in which Liberty holds a 25% interest. It is the first of three buildings planned for the 81-‐acre park positioned conveniently at the intersection of Mitchell Road and Interstate 88 in North Aurora.

“We are very excited to announce the development of our first building at Liberty Business Center North Aurora,” said Don Schoenheider, vice president and city manager, Liberty Property Trust. “We believe this new building will offer prime institutional-‐quality industrial space along Interstate 88 desirable for local businesses looking to expand and companies looking to relocate to the metro area.”

The new facility, which is slated to be LEED Certified, will feature 54′ x 52′ typical bays with 75′ loading bay, 36′ clear ceiling height, energy efficient T-5 fluorescent fixtures with motion sensors, Early Suppression Fast Response fire suppression system, precast concrete construction and is divisible from 200,000 square feet and up.

Liberty Business Center North Aurora is an 81-acre industrial/warehouse distribution center located within 40 minutes of downtown Chicago and O’Hare International Airport. In total, the park will consist of three buildings with build-to-suit opportunities existing for up to 700,000 square feet.
