CBRE recently represented Maven Wave in a 9,000-square-foot expansion to 19,000 square feet at 71 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago. The technology consulting firm has experienced significant growth in recent years and counts companies such as Nielsen and Crate and Barrel among its clients.
Maven Wave currently occupies 10,000 square feet at 71 S. Wacker. With a plan to add more than 100 employees to its operations this year, the firm will be adding 9,000 square feet of space within the building to accommodate the expansion.
“We have experienced exceptional growth in recent years and this expansion is a testament to the commitment we have to our clients, as it will allow us to attract and retain the top talent necessary to best serve their evolving business needs,” said Jason Lee, partner and co-founder of Maven Wave.
Formerly known as the Hyatt Center, the hotelier moved out last year, leading the building owner, Irvine Company Office Properties, to seek out ways of attract tenants into the 13-year-old office tower. This includes a new amenity floor going in on the building’s second level, named The Exchange. Offerings will include a self-pour bar, connected customer lounges and updated counter service, as well as a remodeled on-site fitness center. Renovations will be delivered this fall.
Jon Milonas and Peter Quinn of CBRE represented Maven Wave in the transaction. Annie Nicolau, Mark Georgas and Brad Despot of JLL represented Irvine Company. CBRE facilitated a full floor lease in the building for intellectual property law firm Banner & Witcoff earlier this year.
